Wind Wizards, a local AKA Member, would like to inform the community, schools, and civic organizations of this upcoming national event.

If you want to have a great time celebrating the arrival of spring in April, we would like to invite your group to join the biggest kite happening ever planned in North America. The AKA (American Kitefliers Association), in cooperation with the KTAI (Kite Trade Association International) has declared April to be National Kite Month.

Our goal is to have 600 kite events worldwide during National Kite Month. An event doesn't have to be a big festival; we encourage local fun flies, kitemaking workshops, kite displays in public libraries and malls, and school kite education. We urge individual enthusiasts, local service clubs, schools, parks and AKA members to plan and organize events.

  • We can help you with this fun event by providing information on kiting, simple kite plans, instructions on how to organize an event, and press releases informing others about your event.
  • Go to our web site www.windwizards.com
  • Go to Hot specials and click on Calendar of Events.

Kites are not just “kids toys” but a very valuable learning tool. Most students are too busy having fun with kites to realize that they are learning.

Wind Wizards has been instrumental in promoting kiting, planning festivals, and educating the public on the fun of kiting for the past 16 years.
