IDS - Intelligent Depower System
The Cabrinha IDS system is the best most advanced safety system available on any kite. In short, IDS allows you to self land your kite when nobody is there to catch your kite. Deploying the safety system is easier and safer than any other system out there!
This is significant, regardless of your skill level. For beginners, you will often go downwind and there will be nobody there to catch your kite. IDS will make it easy! For advanced kiteboarders, IDS gives you the confidence you need to explore new downwinders knowing you can safety dis-arm the kite and manage the lines in the water with no hassles.
The old method of "flagging" the kite is a thing of the past with IDS! Just activate the IDS and wait for the kite to lightly land on the water, leading edge down. NO hard yanks, no spinning kite, & no line tangles!
Next, simply wind the IDS line(2.5m) to the control bar and then continue winding all four lines to the kite!

Absolute Depower functions similar to a 5th line system, but without the complexity of the unnecessary 5th line.
